6th International Symposium on the System of Radiological Protection

The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), and the Canadian Radiation Protection Association (CRPA), are excited to welcome you to ICRP2021+1 in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia.

With the breathtaking views from the Westin Bayshore in downtown Vancouver, the hosts look forward to seeing you for another world-class programme at ICRP’s biennial symposia series.

 

The overarching theme of ICRP2021+1 is Radiological Protection – The Next Generation. This reflects the need to review and refine the System of Radiological Protection over the coming decade to ensure it remains fit for purpose for the next generation, and highlights the importance of innovation and involving the next generation in this pursuit. With this in mind, the ICRP2021+1 programme includes the following sessions (preliminary):

  • Review and Refinement of the Fundamentals
  • Emerging Domains
  • Involving Young Professionals
  • RP and the Public
  • Ethical Foundations
  • Broadening Optimization of Protection
  • Optimization of Protection in Emergency Response and Recovery
  • Effects on Humans and the Environment
  • Low-dose Effects: Science & Implications
  • Innovations in Dosimetry
  • Advances in Medical Radiological Protection
  • Radiological Protection in Nuclear Power and the Nuclear Fuel Cycle
  • Learning from Experience

Poster presentations will also be accepted in any of these areas, as well as other subjects related to radiological protection.
